About the event

Women's voice of poetry in the Diaspora brings together three remarkable Albanian-Canadian poets who reflect the depth, emotion, and strength of women's voices across borders. Valbona Ahmeti, author of several poetry collections, shares verses rich with reflection and lyrical beauty. Anila Erindi, known for her heartfelt and introspective writing, adds another unique voice to the panel. Joining live from Vancouver, Armenida Qyqja, a published poet and dedicated advocate of Albanian literature, will offer her perspective on writing from afar. This inspiring session will take place as part of the Albanian Book Festival at John Abbott College, inviting audiences to celebrate the power of poetry and the women who keep it alive in the diaspora.
