About the event

This conversation with Pashko Camaj, moderated by Beti Njuma, explores exile not only as a journey across borders, but as an inner passage shaped by memory, loss, guilt, and belonging. Drawing on themes present in his writing, the discussion reflects on the immigrant’s search for freedom, the weight of leaving one’s homeland, and the lives shaped by political violence, separation, and survival. At its center lies a larger question: how does literature help us understand what is lost, what is carried forward, and how individuals come to terms with the past while forging new identities.
